The objective of the EcclesiaCybernetica.org website is to:
- Research and demonstrate how data analysis can improve our understanding of the Church and its issues, and help us to find solutions using modern cybernetic knowledge, i.e. the science of communication and control.
- Bring together people interested in information systems and cybernetics who wish to apply their knowledge for the benefit of the Church.
About the author
The author of this website is Fr. Dr. Tomasz Włodarczyk, who is a lecturer in anthropology, social ethics (the moral theology of social life) and the philosophy of culture at the seminary of the Archdiocese of Gdańsk. ## Doctorate
Doctoral thesis: “Religion as the foundation of the free society. Socio-ethical consequences of the relationship between the sacred and the profane based on the philosophy of Leszek Kołakowski,” which uses cultural cybernetics to systematically examine how different forms of religion translate into social structure and functioning.
